This application allows you to discover, independently, the Briançon mining museum. This ethno-geological museum presents an exhibition on the very original peasant mines of Briançonnais, models of mines and mining objects, an exhibition on the geology of coal fields, showcases of fossils and two geological games.

It was carried out by an association, the Société Géologique et Minière du Briançonnais, in collaboration with two companies, Briançon Services Informatique for its creation in 2013 as well as Alpes Web Solutions for its redesign in 2024 and was financed by the European interborder project France -Italy ALCOTRA aimed at the creation of a “Geopark” which brings together the Communities of Communes of the Pays Briançonnais, the Hautes Vallées de Susa and the Vaudoises Valleys (Italy) and the Pays de Maurienne and Haute Maurienne.

The explanations are given by audio files associated with images. The texts of these audio files can be displayed. The “Find out more” section offers access to the virtual tour of the museum as well as access to the website of the Geopark and the Société Géologique et Minière du Briançonnais.
