The FranceCovoit application allows all carpoolers residing in mainland France to certify all of their carpooled journeys in 1 click, in order to benefit from the government's short-distance carpooling bonus (up to 80km) in 2023.

On FranceCovoit, the carpooling bonus benefits everyone:

How it works ?

• When registering, you will need to provide proof of identity. If you want to use FranceCovoit as a driver, you will necessarily need to provide your driving license.
• Your license data is transmitted to the Carpooling Proof Register, which checks your eligibility for the Government carpooling bonus. It takes a few hours.
• You are eligible ? You can start your first trip. To do this, the application generates a QR code that you can have your passenger scan.
• In order for your first trip to be certified, you must sign a sworn certificate and will be contacted by the company Octopus Energy France (Plüm Energie) within 3 months. Trips made within this interval will be counted towards your carpooling bonus request.
• As a driver, receive €50 for the first trip and an additional €100 for the tenth if it is made within 3 months following the first trip. Your carpooling bonus will be paid directly into your fund within 3 months following your trip (you can withdraw them at any time).
• For passengers: receive €1 for the first journey, €5 for the fifth and €10 for the tenth (offer valid until 12/31/23).

More information on the Government’s carpooling bonus?

In 2023, the Government has provided in its “everyday carpooling” plan a carpooling bonus of at least €100 for drivers who transport passengers by carpooling. Financed by Energy Saving Certificates (EEC), this bonus aims to develop “short distance” carpooling (less than or equal to 80 km) by encouraging drivers to share their free seats on their daily journeys. Announced objective: reach 3 million carpooling journeys per day by 2027 (compared to 900,000 currently, according to estimates).
