What is a digital lesson?

A digital lesson is a tool developed for video projection. It can be projected either with a video projector or via a digital table. The text projected in large format is easily readable by all students, even those placed in the bottom of class.

The progressive display of the sentences gives the pupils the possibility to read the information step by step. The information capture is not scrambled by too much information. The projected text can be heard or not depending on the choice of the teacher, who can, if he wishes, have the text read aloud by students.
Thanks to the simplicity of use and the speed of implementation, the teacher saves valuable time. He will teach the lesson by explaining the difficult words or by doing a search. The text of the lessons is also constructed to bring questions, so that students remain actors in their knowledge.
All the important words are indicated in red in the text of the lessons, they are found in the written traces. Thus, for each lesson, are associated written traces that can be printed or copied by students in their notebook. The teacher has the possibility to display or not the answers: the written trace can thus be used to evaluate the knowledge acquired by the pupils.


All the lessons are illustrated by various authentic documents: animated maps, filmed experiences, video or photographic archives, reproductions, photographs, graphs, written documents ... The integration of the authentic documents in the body of the lesson allows to contextualize them and simplifies their reading and their understanding by students, who more easily appropriate knowledge.


Teacher's lessons: All the resources of the original libraries of digital lessons are available to teachers. The lesson editor allows teachers to create their own lessons or to modify the JOCATOP lessons to better adapt them to the life of their class (proximity to a historical site, classroom experiences ...) by integrating photos or personal videos.


Like all our software, digital lessons are provided under unlimited license on site. They can be installed on all computers in the school and at the teacher's home.
