!! This app uses the AccessibilityService API to detect which app is in use or to scan screen content for blocked keywords in browsers. This enables the core blocking functionality. The permission is essential but sensitive because it gives access to screen content. However, the app does not collect, store, or transmit any data beyond what is needed for core use.
FreeAppBlocker is an app that helps you block apps and websites so you can actually focus on something else for once. You create blockers. Each one has its own list of apps you want out of your way. You can tell it to mute notifications too. If a blocker has apps muted, those stay muted while it’s on. You can also add keywords. If you’re browsing and a page has one of those words, the page just closes. No warning. Gone.
All ads can be turned off in the settings menu. I've tried to make them as unobtrusive as possible, so I'd appreciate it (and it would help me) if you kept them on.
You can turn blockers on or off whenever. You can delete them.
There’s a strict mode. You set a timer, hit go. Now you’re locked in. Can’t turn blockers off. Can’t unmute stuff. Can’t delete keywords. Can’t change anything you marked. You’re stuck with what you picked until the timer ends. That’s kind of the point.
It’s not about making you productive. It’s about getting out of your way. You pick what’s noise. The app makes sure it stays quiet.
