He is Abu Ubaidah Amer bin Abdullah Al-Jarrah.

He converted to Islam at the hands of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, in the early days of Islam, before the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered the House of Numbers.
