School motto: Humility, Honesty and Wisdom
St. Bonaventure Catholic Primary School is established by the Franciscans. The original Latin text of the school motto is "ubi Humilitas, lbi Sapientia", which comes from the patron saint of the school, Saint Bonaventure. It means "where there is humility and there is wisdom." It expresses the spirit of his ancestor Saint Francis and his humble and sincere attitude. Attitude, before God and others, a heart to learn and seek the truth. The Chinese school motto condenses the original text into two main points: "Humility and Wisdom", which is used to encourage students in our school to take St. Bonaventure as their teacher.
The Bible teaches us that true wisdom lies in respecting the Lord, because through this people can develop a humble attitude that realizes that "there is heaven outside the sky, and there are people outside the world". They will not be complacent, but will accept teachings with an open mind, strive for progress, and With a grateful heart, you can use the knowledge and skills you have learned to benefit others and give back to society. Academics are of course important, but our school places more emphasis on the cultivation of moral character. We sincerely hope that our students will be well-educated and seek wisdom with humility and sincerity.
