Particles is an AR Art mobile app by the artist Martina Zelenika (MOON), realized in 2018 in cooperation with DITDOT from Zagreb, Croatia.

The artist’s idea with this work of art is to show the simulation of Particles in space as an integral part of the micro and macro world. With a simple visual and auditory presentation, Martina reduced to minimalism without excessive aestheticization, reminds us of the connection with everything that surrounds us, and ultimately what we are, that is, what we will turn into - dust or ashes.

The art AR application Particles is based on scanning a hand-made drawing (made with black markers on hammer paper) that the artist sonified with image sonification software. The resulting sound is integrated into a 3D animation made with Unity3D. The sound was synchronized with the animation, thus achieving the effect of natural growth of animated particles from larger to smaller and their density, which visually follows the drawn elements (particles) in the drawing.
The animation moves vertically, which achieves the effect of a digital animated sculpture in space that grows out of a flat drawing, from a lying position. This artwork clearly shows the overcoming of barriers between flat and three-dimensional, static and moving, real and virtual, silent and auditory.
