Rajasthan PWD awarded the consultancy services contract entitled, “Consultancy Services to Develop and Implement a Sustainable Road Asset Management System, System Providing Consultant (SPC) in Rajasthan PWD”, with Contract No CF/RRSMP/16 dated 02 August 2018, to SATRA Infrastructure Management Services Pvt Ltd, India. The project commenced on 16 August 2018 with an expected completion date of 16 August 2024.
The Features of the RRAMS are:
To store/manage spatial data of roads, bridges, culverts and other assets; data for inventory of PWD assets and other features within the R-o-W; the condition, roughness, and structure/strength of the pavement; bridge inspection/ condition, and traffic data.
It is used for maintenance, preservation and upgradation of the road network and for prioritization and optimization of works for different funding levels.
It has the capability to indicate the funding required for maintaining the network at pre-defined service levels and the consequences of various funding levels on the health of the network.
To predict the future asset condition and value, agency/user costs for maintenance/ improvement/ upgrading treatment alternatives for various funding scenarios and evaluate them using measurable economic and engineering parameters to be decided in discussion with PWD during the project.
To prioritise a list of candidate sections for PWD to further undertake detailed project evaluation and allocation of resources from the budget and such other sources as toll revenues, road fund as appropriate.
To enable PWD to prepare short term (1-2 year) programs and long term (5 year) plans in different resource level scenarios.
