Born in Tunisia with success in the summer of 2018, La Saison Bleue is back in force for a second edition in 2019 with its original concept: to offer a wide audience a program of events celebrating the riches of the sea in all its forms. On the menu of this original label, symbolized by the blue sponge of the Tunisian archipelago Kerkennah: festivals, maritime heritage, living culture, water sports, coastal tourism, economic debates ... Nearly a hundred events that, from June to September, make live from Tabarka to Zarzis the 1,400 kilometers of the Tunisian coast and sensitize decision-makers, citizens and tourists to a virtuous exploitation of a beautiful coastline but however increasingly weakened.
Launched on June 19 at the Punic Ports, on the iconic site of the great maritime history of Carthage, The Blue Season will conclude on September 21 by the second edition of the Bizerte Sea Forum, now chaired by Pascal Lamy, former Director General of The World Trade Organization. Federating a wide audience around maritime issues, La Saison Bleue will also reward initiatives emanating from coastal cities as associations or startups through AMWEJ, the first Tunisian call for projects for a sustainable blue economy.
