WHY I MADE KICHI

I built Kichi completely from scratch based on my own extensive experience learning Japanese to fluency, and I use it every day. I had two goals in mind: to help me quickly read Japanese at an advanced level, and to make learning new words as fun as humanly possible.

I designed Kichi to help you throughout your entire Japanese journey. It works with the materials and courses that you’ll use as a beginner, but also enables you to read and understand material that you’re interested in from very early on in your studies. Even as courses become less effective, you can continue using Kichi to learn from native materials.
