It is a fact that, too often, people who live close to the wonders of the world, such as the Taj Mahal in India or the Great Wall in China, cannot enjoy its charms. The wonders were too common for them and too easily accessible to them.
One thinks that one can learn about these wonders at any time, and therefore never cares about when to start exploring them. Likewise, among Buddhists, people who have often heard the name Buddha, and visited monasteries, or call themselves Buddhists—may not really know what Buddhism is.
