Welcome to the "AppRXfire" program. This program is framed in the monitoring of prescribed burning and the monitoring of fire behavior based on burning scenarios and different ignition techniques.
The application is based on previous scientific studies in relation to the behavior of different burning patterns, flare height, useful life and consumption level under different execution windows and ignition patterns.
The monitoring of prescribed burning and its subsequent analysis of information and computer programming has required a duration greater than that of a single research project. In this sense, this program has been developed within the financial framework of an Interreg-Poctep project and a project of the Ministry of Science and Innovation:
- "Iberian Center for Research and Fight against Forest Fires (CILIFO)"
- "Improving resilience to fires in Mediterranean forests. ENFIRES Project” (PID2020-116494RR-C44).
The direction of the project and formulation of the model has been carried out by Juan Ramón Molina, professor Dr. Forestry Engineer. Department of Forestry Engineering. Forest Fire Defense Laboratory (LABIF-UCO), University of Córdoba. The computer programming has been carried out by Antonio Vida Lucena, Computer Engineer.
