"Magic Roads to Aliso" puts you back 2000 years in the role of a 17-year-old Roman who is faced with far-reaching decisions: Do you want to take over your father's pottery business? Or do you embark on an adventure and join the Roman legion in the Roman camp of Aliso?

The interactive multimedia experience immerses you in the life of Roman legionnaires in Germania. The whole thing becomes mystical with dancing skeletons, a ghost that speaks to you from the deathbed and chickens that predict the future.

The app uses augmented reality to create magical moments and bring archaeological objects to life. However, this is only possible in the exhibition of the LWL Roman Museum in Haltern am See! There you will be handed two Roman dice knuckles! Then put on your headphones and let's go! But beware of the Germanic Seer!

In the "Blackbox Archaeology" project, the three partners - the LWL Museum for Archeology and Culture Herne, the LWL Roman Museum in Haltern am See and the German Mining Museum Bochum - open participatory and digitally closed rooms of archaeological work and make knowledge transparent and debatable. The design studio NEEEEU Spaces GmbH supports the associated museums as a digital partner.
