Respondo: the project.

Why do we still call it a project? Let me explain further...
Respondo is a small team of founders, designers, and developers. The founding goal was to create an app that allowed for discussions via media, meaning more than just text. We wanted to engage in Audio, video, images, and text, if need be, all at the same time.

Today, in the landscape of apps, on the one hand, we see a lot of apps that look the same and are doing the same.
On the other hand, many are copycats of what’s already out there and what has already been done. This is where we differ. From the beginning, we have been inspired by what has been admirable and worthwhile while also considering what we felt was lacking in earlier endeavours. How do we formulate our vision and extract the value we seek from an app that we would like to use? Can we crystalize our ideas and vision into an app that is something that makes us say “Yes, honestly, now that is something I would use and engage with”? This very statement is the honest truth about our whole Respondo endeavour. Can we continue to observe, seek, and investigate that clear and distinct understanding of human communication requirements, and can we bring that very need for communication into our Respondo project in a novel and objective way? To that, the answer is yes; we can and already have been, and the continuous search to iterate continually is the basis for calling ourselves a project. A project that is still in its nascent stages and largely driven by exploration rather than a static ideal seeking growth.

To end with, I’d like to say that we will continue building something we ourselves want to use, and in that endeavour, if you too see value and worth, and through your engagement on the project, we will continue to learn how and why people use Respondo on an ongoing basis. This circle of usage events will continue to fuel the project every day into a project with desirable output in the not-to-distant future.
