Islamic Creed, also known as "Aqidah" in Arabic, refers to the foundational beliefs and principles that form the core of the Islamic faith. These beliefs serve as the framework for Muslims' understanding of God, the universe, prophethood, and the afterlife. The Islamic Creed is based primarily on the Quran, the holy book of Islam, and the Hadith, the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The Islamic Creed traces its origins back to the early days of Islam in the 7th century. When the Prophet Muhammad received his first revelations from Allah (God) through the Angel Gabriel, he began preaching monotheism and calling people to worship the One God, known as Allah in Arabic. This marked the beginning of Islam and the foundation of its theological beliefs.
