ইসলামী অর্থনীতিতে সব ক্ষেত্রে সুদ হারাম করা হয়েছে। মহান আল্লাহ ইরশাদ করেন, ‘হে মুমিনরা! তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় করো এবং সুদের বকেয়া যা আছে তা ছেড়ে দাও—যদি তোমরা মুমিন হও। ’ (সুরা : বাকারা, আয়াত : ২৭৯)
