Incipit is a project born in Rome in 2020 from a simple and complex thing, but at no cost: a good idea.

The opening has always been the most intense moment in a story, the moment where it all begins. Every journey has a beginning. It really doesn't matter if we are faced with a good or bad, silly or clever story, true or unreal ... it can all start like this. Without a beginning there is no history, and without history you cannot go anywhere.

Incipit is the way we invented, with our voices, to bring you inside the first page of a book in a very short time: less than three minutes. That is to say: if after three minutes of listening you realized that it was not the right story for you, maybe you should… listen to the next one! Without limits. And don't worry, every week we select strong, unique and always new incipits from the world of fiction, theater and poetry. Because every journey not only begins, but continues.

Our idea was to create an empathic guide to the right book, one-to-one, one-to-one, that includes many different books, for many different people. Because? Because we didn't just want to tell something aloud, but to go and see very closely, just that instant there: when colors, movements, memories, objects, perfumes, people; all together, they come to life. Just to say that Incipit is not just an emotional playlist that you can listen to whenever you want and wherever you want.
