Upon initial launch, the user selects the store type from those available. To minimize initial setup, POSPOS automatically preloads standard products, categorized directly into the database, based on the selected store type. The merchant can, of course, modify, delete, or add custom categories and products at any time.

POSPOS can also be used on smartphones with NFC support, in which case:
Receipts can be sent via SMS, WhatsApp, or email
Alternatively, receipts can be printed using portable Bluetooth printers
