Record consolidated drink orders of fellow diners at hawker centres/food courts.

In South-East Asian countries such as Singapore and Malaysia, it is customary for a representative to take drink orders on behalf of friends or colleagues dining together at food establishments such as hawker centres, coffee shops, canteens and food courts. This is a peculiar practice at these food establishments as there are usually no waiters available to take orders on the group's behalf. The 'honour' will therefore be bestowed upon a selected individual to take the drink orders on behalf of the group, and this representative will place the group's consolidated drink orders at a drink stall which may be some distance away. It is usually a challenge for the representative to remember all the orders, unless he or she has a photographic memory. This exercise is even more difficult when taking a large number of orders from a big group.

The 'Group Order for Drinks' app is here to help ease the pain of remembering these consolidated drink orders, by providing an easy means of recording the drink orders by the simple tapping of buttons at the respective rows of the different drinks to be ordered. The list of drinks may be customised and managed, by inserting, deleting and shifting the drinks in the list.

This app may even be used by waiters to record orders from their customers, as it allows for the customisation of the drink list on the app according to the restaurant's own menus. Food items may even be added to the list if required.
