TPOplan is a smartphone app that allows workers to "transmit" the latest work instructions from the manager and easily "report" on them while the worker is working on a farm where a work manager and multiple workers are working. Today, real-time work instructions are often exchanged using email and SNS, but it is a tedious task for workers who receive instructions to enter work status while they are working on the farm. Therefore, with TPOplan, when the administrator creates a work calendar and assigns workers to each field, TPOplan automatically notifies the workers according to the TPO (what to do, when to do it, in which field). When the worker completes the instructed work, he/she will be notified via TPOplan that the work has been completed. The completion report will be automatically reported to the administrator. TPOplan is a "spinach" tool for agricultural work.
For example, if Worker A is taking a lunch break after finishing work on Field 1, and Manager B sends a work instruction in real time, "Today, spray pesticide X on Field 1 and Field 2." By simply selecting the relevant task from the list of tasks performed in the morning of the day, the detailed data of the task will be transmitted to Mr. B, such as ``At what hour and minute, pesticide On the other hand, regarding Field 2, Mr. A had scheduled the work to be done in the afternoon, so by replying in the same manner when the work on Field 2 is completed in the afternoon, the details of that work will be communicated to Mr. B. If Mr. B has issued similar work instructions to Mr. A and workers other than Mr. A, he can always keep track of the latest status of when those work instructions have been completed.
TPOplan features include:
(1) Information is exchanged between managers and workers in an open place.
The administrator's work instructions can be "transmitted" simply by writing them in a Google Spreadsheet sheet (Note 1). You can enter the data manually using the Google Spreadsheet app, or you can give another app (e.g., a farming support system) permission to share the spreadsheet and write from the app.
On the other hand, the worker records the work he or she has done in a designated JSON format on a Google calendar for which he or she has ownership privileges (Note 2). Similarly, you can enter the information manually using the Google Calendar app, or you can give another app (e.g., a farming support system) permission to share the calendar and write from the app.
In this way, TPOplan uses an open place for information exchange, making it easy to integrate with other apps.
(2) The role of TPOplan is to link “work instructions” and “work reports”
When a worker launches TPOplan, the number and details of work orders and completed tasks are displayed by date. Within the app, workers link which completed tasks correspond to which work instructions. Once linked, the results are reported to the administrator in real time, allowing the administrator to know the details of the completed work. Additionally, if for some reason the worker is unable to complete the work instructed by the administrator on the same day, they can also reply to the administrator within the app.
In this way, by using TPOplan, workers will be able to report in detail on the work instructions received from managers with minimal effort.
(Note 1): Reserve the Google Spreadsheet ID and sheet name in advance. A sheet record consists of the worker, work period, work name, target crop, work location, and situation.
(Note 2): Work details recorded in Google Calendar are recorded as calendar events in JSON (data exchange format using JavaScript object notation) format. It consists of the worker, work start date and time, work end date and time, work location, work name, target crop, work details, etc.
