This is a supplementary device for neonatal resuscitation simulation training that connects a Bluetooth® chestpiece and instructor controller (smartphone) via Bluetooth®. Auscultation of heartbeat sounds synchronized with the heart rate set by the instructor is only possible when the chestpiece is applied to a neonatal mannequin. Additionally, by connecting the controller to a simulation monitor (tablet) via Wi-Fi, the monitor can display simulated heart rate, oxygen saturation, and ECG waveform set on the controller. Trainees can confirm vital signs through the monitor and auscultation to perform procedures, while instructors can observe the trainees' actions and modify the vital signs on the controller. Furthermore, the simulation monitor also supports playing neonatal crying sounds (if the monitor is not used, the sounds will be played via the controller/Bluetooth® chest piece). The dedicated application "Saving Baby" can be installed on commercially available smartphones/tablets, enabling use, and compared to conventional simulators, offers low-cost and effective simulation training.
