Located in Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the "Tanga Market" has a history of about 100 years and was formed around the 2nd and 3rd years of the Taisho era. Approximately 120 stores are lined up and support the lives of local residents as a living market. It has been known as a tourist destination for the past few years and is visited by many tourists both inside and outside Japan.
In recent years, the risk of aging arcades and buildings and flooding of adjacent rivers has increased, so the redevelopment project will start in 2021 and will be rebuilt. Although the current Showa retro atmosphere will disappear, we planned and released the "Tanga Market Shopping Street App" so that we can enjoy the reborn Tanga Market more by using modern convenient tools. We are planning to increase various functions such as information transmission from each individual store, which was difficult until now, so please make use of it.
