Life in your seaside town has always been quiet—until a notorious, wealthy samurai asks for your hand. As a wedding gift, he presents you with a black pearl necklace. But after your father’s sudden death, distant relatives rush to arrange the marriage despite your fears.

On the morning of your wedding, the mighty Narukami Trade Ship docks at the port. Seeing your chance, you cut your hair, disguise yourself as a man, and set sail in search of freedom.
