Killer Sudoku is characterised by dotted areas called cages.

Although its basic rules are same as in classic Sudoku puzzle, there is a grouping of individual cells called a cage.
Only two rules apply to the cage.

✓ The number in top left corner is the sum of numbers in cage.
✓ The same number cannot be entered in cage.


[ Rules of Killer Sudoku ]

✓ Single numbers from 1 to 9 are placed in 3 x 3 blocks surrounded by row, column
and bold lines.
✓ The same numbers cannot be placed in the row, column, block and cage
✓ Target is to fill numbers in all the cells.

There are other puzzles called Killer Math and Sum Cross and samurai number place, but in general basic rules are the same.
