Tide Now SFB is a free, offline tide prediction application. It includes all the tide and current stations in the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Strait. All the necessary tide and current prediction data is built-in so the app never has to use the internet. This lets results be posted immediately.

Tide Now SFB contains a built -in chart. When a tide or current station has been selected, using the chart station command will show the tide or current station location on the chart.

The app requires no permissions, it shows no ads, and has no spyware.

The icons and commands are described below.

The location icon is the one used the most. When tapped, a list of regions is displayed. Each region indicates a geographic area as well as Tides or Currents. Tap one of the buttons and then a list of stations of that type in that area is shown. Finally select the station you are looking for. Then the table and graph will be displayed.

If you want to make sure where the station is, just hit the command icon (3 dots) and choose Show Station on Chart. It shows a scanned chart with the location marked and named. Alternately, you can invoke the Show Station on GMAP command, it will pass the coordinates to the Google Map application and display the area with the station centered. But this will required internet unless you happen to have your area cached.

Sun and Moon information is available in the app. The full sun and moon display shows sun and moon rise and set times graphically in unison with the tide graph. The moon phase and illumination are also shown in this display. Alternately, you can select the daylight shading option, which provides a bigger graph and just showns the sun-up time with a yellow background. Finally you can leave the sun and moon info out completely to provide the simplest display. Just use the Sun and Moon Info command to choose.

Another icon is the calendar. You can choose any date for which you want the tides or currents calculated. Also, at any time you can swipe left or right to move forward or backward by one day. The refresh icon works with this to bring whatever date you have selected back to the present date.

The three dots commands are described further below.

The Add Station to Favorites shows you the list of favorite locations and you can place the presently selected station into the list where you want. Later you can swipe downward and the favorites list is shown for your choice.

The Change Color Scheme allows you to select a bright or dark display, and a few other choices.

The Mark Height allows you to enter a tide height or current speed to be marked on the graph. The times that height or speed is crossed is noted on the display.

The About Gestures lists the three gestures available and you can choose one of them to see it run. There is next day, prior day, and favorites gestures available. Normally you would just swipe left, right, or down.

The Overlay Waveform lets you save the current graph waveform and then your next station selected will display both waveforms together. So you can compare the relative tides of two locations, or see two currents displayed, or see a tide and current display on the same graph.

Finally, use the Contact Info to find out how to email me. If you need help or have a suggestion, emailing me is the way to go. Please do not post a review to get help, I cannot get back to you from a review and it makes it hard to complete the resolution. I respond quickly to email issues. Suggestions are appreciated and I can get back to you and discuss it further.

A tide or current station is selected in a two step process, and the daily prediction is displayed immediately. Both a table and graph are provided.
