LE 2M PHY:
Physical layer supports speed 2 Mb/s (Bluetooth 4.0 only support 1 Mb/s)

LE Coded PHY:
Physical layer allows range to be quadrupled (4x) (approximately), compared to Bluetooth 4 and this has been accomplished without increasing the transmission power required.

LE Extended Advertising:
This increased number of advertising packet makes Bluetooth 5 more reliable. As it asks the name of a device before pairing it. The increased number of packets should allow the pairing process to be a faster, more reliable action, which will also help out with the stability of the connection.

LE Periodic Advertising:
Periodic advertising is a Bluetooth 5.0 feature based on extended advertisements. It allows non-connectable advertisements to be sent at fixed interval of time where advertising data can change between those intervals. One or more scanners can then listen for such advertisements. It is a form of multicast.
