Born on the 19th of October, 1986, Mr 2Kay and his family moved from Port Harcourt to Bonny Island, both in Rivers State, Nigeria where he had grown up.
He started his music career in Port Harcourt, and came into limelight in the city with his song, 'Waterside Boy'.

His debut single, 'Bubugaga' was released October 2012 and the music video was shot in London, United Kingdom under the Grafton Entertainment.
He has performed in a good number of events since coming into limelight such as:
