The Teen MHFA App is a learning accompanying mobile app. The app allows the learners to access
online and offline the Youth Mental Health First Aid manual, the details of their lessons including
date, time and venue, general information about Mental Health First Aid and a number of related
tips.
The Teen Mental Health First Aid incorporates two courses for teenagers. Teen 13 to 15 and Teen
16 to 18. The Teen Mental Health First Aid course is a program that teaches adolescents how to
support a friend who is experiencing mental health problems. It is complimentary to the adult course
and this course runs over three sessions of 75 minutes each and emphasises the importance of
young people getting an adult involved as quickly as possible where mental health problems might
be suspected.
