The NaSUM (National Subsurface Utility Mapping) application is an application developed to provide access to utility data that has been measured by JUPEM throughout Peninsular Malaysia including the Federal Territory of Labuan to users. Through this application, users can search for nearby utilities online using a mobile device. This application can be accessed by two main types of users namely public users and registered users. There are some limitations for the display of utility data for both types of users depending on the permissions set by the NaSUM system. Among the main features of the NaSUM application:
1. Display of the latest utility spatial data that has been measured by JUPEM
2. Location Search / POI (Point of Interest)
3. Search for nearby utilities using the AOI (Area of Interest) & POI (Point of Interest) method
4. Data Collection – For internal JUPEM users to collect / record utility assets while in the field
5. User Geo-Location function in 'real time'
6. The function of measuring the distance and area of an area
