BiblioTe.Ca., where Te.Ca. stands for Telling Calabria, it is the app that allows users to consult the bibliographic and digital heritage of the Casa della Cultura of Roccella Jonica (RC).
Library. has the aim of protecting and enhancing the vision of Calabria, a land of profound contradictions but of immense cultural and landscape beauty, which travelers from all over the world have returned through their works.
The works of travellers, above all of which is Edward Lear's "Diary of a Walking Journey", have had the great merit of exporting, by narrating and depicting in other contexts and other cultures, the human, landscape, cultural, architectural, productive of the Calabrians and Calabria and their evolution over the centuries, the result of profound metamorphoses dictated by the different dominations.
Added to this is a substantial literary production that comes from Calabrian authors, from the best known such as Corrado Alvaro, Mario La Cava, Saverio Strati to the more recent ones such as Pasquino Crupi, who have managed to go even deeper, into the heart and soul of the Calabrians, recounting the most intimate emotions and the legitimate expectations, ambitions and concerns of the men and women of Calabria, all united by a deep bond with their land.
The meaning of Telling Calabria is precisely to tell Calabria to those who intend to discover it or learn more about it and provide, through the digital tool of the App, the tools for understanding the bibliographic and digital heritage that can be consulted at the Casa della Cultura of Roccella Jonica (RC).
The library. it also hosts a Digital Storytelling laboratory, multimedia stations and an e-book station, as well as aiming to be a brainstorming and innovation zone and a coworking area.
The library. it also consists of an open section, defined as Street e-library which allows users to enjoy books, audio and video in digital format to be consulted through QR codes according to the choose, frame, download and read mode from the thematic panels placed in particular areas of Roccella Jonica which can be identified on the map in the specific section of the app.
