NDR 2 is a German music radio station owned by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk group. NDR 2 is the only NDR radio program that broadcasts advertising. Wave boss is Torsten Engel.
NDR 2 started on January 1, 1956 and emerged from the radio station NWDR Nord, which began broadcasting on April 30, 1950. On January 2, 1981, the first commercial was broadcast on NDR 2, as advertising was previously not allowed.
