Nashville is the state capital of Tennessee and is located on the banks of the Cumberland River in Davidson County, in the north-central part of the state. Full of pastures and ranches and an important administrative, political and tourist center, it covers an area of 1,362.6 km². Known as the "City Of Music", due to the fact that it is the home of country music, home to the Grand Ole Opry, a famous radio program of the genre, the Country Music Hall of Fame and many record companies, as well as the headquarters of one of the largest companies producing electric guitars and basses, Gibson, Nashville is also famous for the film of the same name by director Robert Altman, and for having been chosen by the great king of rock n 'roll Elvis Presley, as the artistic-compositional basis of a part of his songs, recorded in one of his studios.
