St. Jude’s Hr. Sec. School is a reputed CBSE affiliated Minority Educational institution run by the Catholic Diocese of Khandwa (Regd) under the chairmanship of Most Rev. Dr. A.A.S. Durairaj SVD, Bishop of Khandwa.
The School was established in 1985 under the patronage of the then Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Viruthakulangara (Presently Archbishop of Nagpur). It was a great initiative of Rev. Fr. M. Chinnappar, the then Parish Priest of St. Jude’s Church, Aurangpura, Khargone along with the untiring efforts of FSMA sisters Rev. Sr. Lawrence and Rev. Sr. Deepti to impart value education to the children in the city. Rev. Fr. Jimmy, Rev.Fr. Mathew K.J and Rev. Fr. Jose P.A have toiled for the construction of the new building in the initial stages of the school at Mangurl Road where the present building is situated.
The first phase of the building was blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Viruthakulangara and inaugurated by Honorable minister Mr.Subash Yadav, the then M.P, Khargone and Second phase was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jose Vaipana, the then administrator of the Diocese. The third phase of the building was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr. Leo Cornelio SVD, the then Bishop of Khandwa (Presently Archbishop of Bhopal) and fourth phase of the building was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Chinnappar, the then administrator of the diocese. The fifth phase of the building was blessed and inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Bp. A.A.S. Durairaj SVD (The Present Bishop of Khandwa). In the year 1992, the educational management was handed over to the Dominican Sisters of the Presentation and Rev. Sr. Deepa OP and Rev. Sr. Elsy OP,who worked hard to bring up the institution up to this reputed status. The great contributions that rendered by Rev. Fr. T.P. Abraham, Rev. Sr. Teresa D’ Souza and Rev. Fr. C.John Victor for the growth of the institution are remarkable. Rev. Fr. Shibu Chandy and Rev. Sr. Elsy OP have been continuing the mission of sharing the DIVINE KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE with the children of modern times.
The school admits students irrespective of Caste, Creed and Religion aiming at the integral approach towards physical, educational, and psychological development of the students.
