"Gin Tama" is a Japanese manga work by Hideaki Sorachi.
Serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from the 2nd issue of 2004 to the 42nd issue of 2018. After that, the final edition was serialized in "Jump GIGA" 2019 WINTER vol.1 to vol.3 and "Gintama Official App". The cumulative domestic circulation up to Volume 74 has exceeded 55 million.
This is the first serialized work of the author Sorachi, and is a humane comedy story manga that takes the form of a science fiction historical drama. Sorachi describes the attribute of this work as "Sci-fi humanity is a historical comedy."
