The Japanese garden specialty magazine "Journal of Japanese Gardening" publishes Japanese garden rankings every year. In the rankings, they are evaluated purely by their beauty and quality, regardless of their size or name recognition, so they are attracting attention because they do not contain the preconceptions unique to the Japanese. We introduce the top 30 gardens in such a ranking.
