This game is an unfinished project.

It all started in 2016 as an idea to make something meaningful in my life by raising money for animal charity with a simple mobile game. One year later I started having some serious health issues, which made this game become my obsession and the goal of my life. But even though I focused all my energy on it, the process of development was far from perfect.

Apart from too many changes to the initial concept, I committed many design flaws, that made me rewrite the code over and over again. Not caring about backups resulted in losing two months of hard work. And my biggest failure was the inability to acquire attention and support. People from the internet and my not-so-many friends were not much interested, and local animal charities couldn’t understand the idea. This made me try to share my work progress in order to build an audience.

I started with writing posts on a Facebook fanpage and then on my personal Twitter account. Next I created a Wordpress blog, which I didn’t actually have a clear vision for, so the topics were ranging from me giving random sport and lifestyle advices to describing crazy ideas of all kind that came to my mind. The blog was followed by a YouTube channel which served as a devlog, and to make it more appealing I decided to record myself. I still remember that weird and awkward feeling from talking to the camera.

The Vlog lasted for about 18 episodes until I realized, that I won’t achieve a thing talking to almost no one. I got frustrated and removed everything - my channel, blog, fanpage, and all the tweets, but I still vowed to work on the game. For some time I even had an idea to try to publish it on Kickstarter, or a similar website, but after a short research and realizing how crowded all of this is, I gave up for good.

I managed to implement all of the planned features and make a usable world editor. Mechanics, although I really like them, are highly stripped, so they’re unable to express their full potential. The game at its current state is playable, but because of lack of any help it’s not well tested and lacks content. The plan was to have at least 1000 cats for the launch, but there’re only 19. Same with other content.

I don’t and won’t provide any guides or tutorials on how to play the game. Although the game may seem simple on the outside, believe me, there’s some serious magic going on beneath the surface. If you’re truly interested, you’ll figure it out. If not, then don’t even bother installing. Based on my experience so far, I have solid zero confidence, that this game ever gets any attention, and that I’d be working on it again. I’m only publishing it as a memorial of my work.

The game language was initially Polish, but I’ve translated it for you, so you won’t have to learn the language. I left the original title which translates to something like „My Cat Foundation”, but I think the Polish version sounds way better.

I had a really great time working on this project and everything around it, and these memories will stay with me forever. Even though it failed, it made me learn a lot. It lifted my life significantly and gave it a meaning, back when a meaning I needed the most. In the middle of 2022 this brief summary closes this chapter of my life.

I hope this game, even in its unfinished state, will catch your curiosity and give you these few minutes of the same joy I felt when making it.
