## **What is this?**
This is not a standard metronome, but an App focused on training.
The real _killer feature_ is about calculating the duration of the entire exercise. Knowing how long an exercise will take, let you focus on it and decide when to take your time for a warm up or for an entire practice session (see **How to**). This (at least) helps me to be constant for two reasons: the first is that I know that I'll surely find the time in a day to practice with an exercise that takes about 10 minutes, the second is that knowing the duration of an exercise helps me to focus on it without distractions.
You'll be able to compose your own exercise using 6 (free) or 8 (pro)
parameters:
* **quarters**: quarters in a measure
* **accent**: enable/disable accent on the first quarter in a measure
* **repetitions**: how many time the exercise wil be repeated
* **measures**: how many measures in an exercise
* **from bpm**: starting bpm
* **step**: how may bpm will be added in the next repetition
* **incipit**: _Pro only_. How many measure you need to take time before the exercise starts. In the demo version is set to 1 measure.
* **pause**: _Pro only_. Pause between repetitions. In the demo version is set to 5 seconds.
You'll be able to save 2 (free) or 3 (pro) different presets, _warmup_, _read_ and _focus_ (pro only). Presets name depends by the tree type of exercise I'm used to play.
Every **exercise** is composed by **repetition**, which are a set of **measures** you want to play along with. For example define an exercise composed by 3 **repetitions** of 32 **measures** starting with a metronome at 50 bpm (**from bpm**) which will increase by 5 bpm (**step**) every **repetition**. Between **repetitions** you will have to wait for 5 seconds. In the pro version you cat set how long to wait between **repetitions** or set
the **pause** to 0.. and much more. Read **How to** to discover more info!

## **How to**

## _warmup_
Suppose you have a roll or a musical scale you want to practice to become faster. You can set up an exercise like this:
* repetitions 4
* measures 32
* from bpm 45
* step 5
This way your reading will be executed for 32 measures end you'll repeat the 32 measures for 4 time, the first at 45 bpm, the second at 50 bpm, the third at 55 pm and the last at 60 bpm.
**This exercise takes about 10 minutes.**
## _warmup Pro_
In the Pro version if you set **pause** to 0 and put the **accent** OFF, the _breakdown mode_ will be automatically activated (you will see `(B)` under `warmup`): the metronome will increase bpm between repetitions without the pause until it will reach the maximum bpm and it will start increasing until the **from bpm**. **Incipit** will be played once at the very start of the exercise. Give it a try with the following setup:
* `accent OFF`
* repetitions 20
* measures 2
* from bpm 50
* step 1
* `pause 0`
**This exercise is shorter than 3 minutes!**
Come on! You can do it at least 3 or 4 times in a day! Don't be lazy!
## _focus Pro_
In the Pro version you can activate the _precision mode_ setting **step** to 0 and switching **accent** OFF. In this exercise mode **pause** is interpreted in **measures** e not in seconds, and became part of the exercise itself as you can feel it like set the metronome mute for 1 or more **measures**. The incipit is played once at the beginning of the exercise. This is an effective way that will lead you to develop a stronger internal time.
Try to keep time with this setup:
* `accent OFF`
* repetitions 32
* measures 3
* from bpm 60
* `step 0`
* pause 1
This exercise will play 32 times a pattern composed by 3 **measures** and 1
**mute measure**.
**This exercise takes about 9 minutes.**

## **PDF reader Pro**
In the Pro version you can load a PDF document for portable snippets you want to bring always with you. Is not intended to be a full featured PDF reader.
