The AlpenApp is an interactive app with nearly 400 alpine flowers and 1,000 beautiful photos from the High Alps of Austria, Switzerland and France.

Search by family, Dutch and scientific name, or enjoy a professional nature photography Will Leurs and Alpenbotanist Franck le Driant.

The app is special attention to gentians, primroses and rock plants from higher altitudes (up to 4200 meters). For the app does not make too big, there are no trees and bushes included.

Kids version
The Alpenapp has a kids version. Through settings, you can opt for this version. The app let alone see the Dutch names. That's easier than the Dutch and the scientific names at once.

The story behind the Alpenapp
Unique to this app is that the foundation is laid with 800 photographs of alpine enthusiasts from the Netherlands and Belgium. These photos of hikers and climbers are used to make an initial selection of plants that stand out. Some of these photos are even included in the Alpenapp! The final selection for the Alpenapp was developed with specialists from the botanical garden in Haren and the Jardin d'altitude.
