Valid Parking makes it easy to find disabled parking spaces in the Netherlands.
Under Settings you can set what kind of parking space you need
you will only see those parking spaces on the map from now on.
Where does this information come from?
We used public information about road signs to find more than 44,000 disabled parking spaces in the Netherlands. This information is almost always correct, but unfortunately it sometimes contains errors. That is why there is always a warning at the parking lot if the information has not yet been verified by a user.
How can I help?
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to contribute from the app. You can register via valideparkeren.nl and contribute directly.
The most valuable way to contribute is to visit parking lots, add a photo and verify it. If you want, you can immediately indicate the parking direction and size of the parking lot, then other users can use this information to filter.
But even if you are less mobile or have already visited everything in the area, you can select Help from Home via the left menu. You will then be shown random parking spaces in the Netherlands and you can carry out an initial verification via Street View. If everything seems good there, a user still has to visit the parking lot to verify it, but this way we can quickly filter out parking spaces that have something wrong with them, for example because they have a license plate. Most parking spaces by license plate have already been filtered out, but for some there is no sign plate known in the open data on which we rely.
