EVIN Digital - Initial Needs Assessment
EVIN Digital is the official application of Ecuador's National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR), designed to facilitate the rapid and standardized collection of information following adverse events such as natural disasters or emergencies.
This digital tool allows stakeholders in the National Decentralized Risk Management System (SNDGR) to collect key data in affected areas—access to services, critical infrastructure, priority needs of the population, among others—directly from their mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.).
Thanks to its integration with the SNGR's central system, the collected data can be sent in real time (when connected to the internet), allowing for immediate consolidation and analysis through a web platform.
Developed as part of a joint effort between the SNGR, the World Food Programme (WFP), USAID/BHA, and the Ecuadorian Red Cross Higher Technological Institute (ISTCRE), this updated version of the EVIN Methodology seeks to strengthen disaster response capacity through accurate, timely, and decision-making information.
Main features:
- Digital field data collection.
- Online or offline work.
- Direct submission to official servers.
- Access to standardized evaluation forms.
- Real-time data visualization via the web.
