Anaes CaRe (Anaesthesia Case Records) is designed to provide a convenient way to record anaesthesia cases on mobile device and generate PDF file for submission to billing service. The app calculates relative value guide (RVG) units and Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) fees instantly, and estimates total rebates from Medicare and the different health funds, as well as the potential out-of-pocket or gap payments. The calculations are based on the RVG unit system set by the MBS for the state of Victoria. All of the MBS item numbers relevant to anaesthesia are included in the app; however, item numbers which do not have the MBS equivalent are excluded. There are a number of options for billing method to choose from to suit different requirements.
