A modular, high-tech and agnostic platform, planned and developed by a private research institute [Fundação ABC], within the concept of open innovation [rural producers and agronomists], with the application of agile methodology and financing from Capal Agroindustrial Cooperatives, Friesland, Castrolanda and Agraria!

Initial results
The open process of innovation and customer focus resulted in a practical platform for daily use that fulfills the main objective of integrating information from different areas of knowledge, different computer systems, cooperatives or service providers, offering technical and economic support for planning operational in the short, medium and long term.

In this second version of the sigma2ABC platform, we already have more than 500 thousand hectares in our database, 5000 producers, 150 agronomists, 5 UFs plus the Federal District, technical-scientific partnerships with more than 10 national and international companies and universities, integration with the main ERP systems used in the Brazilian agribusiness market!

Scope of our integration platform
Considering population growth projections and the demand for food production, climate change and extreme events, the carrying capacity of the soil and its different forms of use, the limitation of natural resources versus the development of new technologies, we can state that Rural producers need to intensify agricultural productivity and also minimize impacts on the environment.

In this sustainability scenario, in the broad and complex meaning of this concept, the strategy of organizing historical information, expanding the monitoring of weather and climate, pests, machines and industry, associated with computational techniques to anticipate and improve production processes decision-making on and off the farm are essential for the entire Brazilian agribusiness chain.

What's new in version 2 of the app?
Since its first version, launched in June 2019, the sigmaABC platform has been developed based on the concept of modular structure, spatial database and data integration. In version 2, in addition to the technological restructuring, new modules were developed, with emphasis on the rural economy module.

What technologies are used?
We use the latest solutions in software, hardware, relational and non-relational database technologies, cluster processing, infrastructure and security. We also expanded the possibilities for integrations with other platforms and added artificial intelligence techniques to our database. Finally, we were able to further integrate our main clients into the sigmaABC development process, enabling a more efficient association of scientific knowledge [generated by Fundação ABC] with practical knowledge, and empirical and observational knowledge.
