The Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Care Guide (JWCH Emerg) app allows users to access an interactive version of the Geisinger, Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Emergency and Trauma Care Guide.

Used during the assessment and treatment of pediatric emergencies, this guide includes Pediatric Trauma Assessment, Resuscitation Guidelines, Emergency Medications, and approaches to common medical emergencies.

By entering the patient's Age, Weight, and/or Height in the app, medication dosages and equipment sizes can be rapidly accessed. Workflow Algorithm charts are also included, showing the Trauma Decision Scheme, and the Criteria for Identification of Major Pediatric Trauma

Using the most current American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, users have access to Pediatric BLS, Pediatric Cardiac Arrest, Pediatric Tachycardia, and Pediatric Bradycardia algorithms.
