Odi Vilaiyaadu (ஓடி விளையாடு in Tamil) is a cultural event management app that celebrates and promotes traditional Tamil games for children and families. The name “Odi Vilaiyaadu,” meaning “Run and Play,” is inspired by the opening line of a beloved poem by the renowned Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathi. This iconic poem encourages children to play outdoors, learn with joy, and live compassionately — values that align perfectly with the spirit of this app.
The app was developed to support community volunteers in managing cultural sports events, including starting games, scoring, and completing match rounds. It automatically calculates standings and assigns medals based on performance. Parents can register their children for events, view schedules, and track real-time results.
