The SMDeN Nepal App is a specialized mobile tool developed for Last Mile Distributors (LMDs) engaged in the Sustainable Market Development of eCooking in Nepal (SMDeN) project. Led by Practical Action Nepal, the SMDeN initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of clean electric cooking technologies—particularly induction-based eCooking stoves—across rural and semi-urban areas in Nepal’s Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

This app empowers LMDs to carry out household registration, verify stove eligibility, and track the distribution and handover of eCooking stoves directly in the field. Designed with usability and field constraints in mind, it supports efficient data collection, even in areas with limited internet access.
