Window to my community App is an application that serves as a link to go to the Window to my community website. It is a pedagogical proposal of the General Coordination of Intercultural and Bilingual Education of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) that emerged as support to promote interculturality in basic education students and the population in general, in addition to promoting respect and appreciation for diversity.1 Includes a series of videos that address cultural aspects of 33 Mexican indigenous peoples and 3 communities with their own cultural identity.2 Children are the protagonists, they talk about their daily life, their legends and traditions, the state of their language, what the environment that surrounds them is like, the variety of their typical dishes, their clothing and their activities, in addition to the festivals and traditions of their communities. It also includes some "Cultural Booklets" and "Recreation and Work Files".3. The videos were produced by Videoservicios Profesionales (2004-2007) and sponsored by Fundación Telefónica. In 2005 and 2006, an evaluation was carried out on the use of materials in 800 public schools in Mexico City.4 The project received UNIAL Recognition 2005 (Havana, Cuba), a special mention for the video "Tlaxcaltecas de Bustamente" at the Cristal Screen Festival (2005)5 and the award for "Best Children's Documentary" for the video "Tojolabales" at the Screen Screen Festival.
