Vulgate is the short form of Latin Vulgate editio or versio vulgata lectio or Vulgate, respectively "edit, translate or read popular disclosure" - the most widespread version of a text.

The book displays the Latin text of the vulgate side by side with the translation into Portuguese. Also each Latin word is linked to a dictionary definition.
