Alpha & Omega is a collection of math, memory, linguistic, and logical games with strong references to the Ancient Greek language, especially Koine Greek, which is the language of the New Testament. In fact, the main purpose of this app is rather to teach you the Greek alphabet and some basic Greek words than to allow you to play games.

The Koine Greek was in use between 300 BC and 600 AD; it’s a simplified version of Classical Greek. When you get to know the mysterious signs that composes its alphabet (which is the same as the modern Greek alphabet) you will be ready to learn some words; the app contains 50 nouns. It is not and will be not a regular Koine Greek course, but something that should give you a glimpse into this topic. The games, in a certain sense, are an addition to that main purpose. However, by playing them you earn points, and these points you can exchange for new words, fonts, and palettes. They are designed to be relaxing, and playing one game should take you from 5 to 15 minutes.

The app is under development. The biblical aspect of the app is not yet ready to be published. Moreover, some games (especially the memory games available under Theta, Iota, and Kappa) are incomplete and can contain errors. So even though the app is already very big, it is by no means finished. If you have any ideas on how to improve any aspect of it, just let me know via e-mail.
