The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the quadrennial international men's football tournament played by FIFA's member national teams. It will be hosted by Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. This will be the first edition of the Qatar World Cup to be held in the Arab world. This is the seventh and last edition of the World Cup, in which 32 teams participate. The world champion is France. Due to the sweltering summer heat in Qatar, this time the World Cup will take place from late November to mid-December, making it the first tournament not to take place in May, June or July.
