Radio Santiago is the successor of Radio Antártica, a former station that was located on frequency 700 of the Santiago dial, and of Radio Santa Lucía, which occupied the same frequency. Due to a defect in the precision of the kilocycles in its broadcast, on March 10, 1964 the signal was distorted towards 690 kHz, a frequency that Radio Santiago presents to this day.
The Santiago newspaper is a digital medium, created in 2007, whose purpose is to provide cyber surfers with accurate and timely information, with a broad and pluralistic view of national and international events. Likewise, provide information of general interest, with news related to the scientific field, health, environment, humor, miscellaneous, useful information, among others. In 2018 it became the first digital newspaper in Santiago. The Santiago newspaper is an online media that, due to its characteristics, is not subject to geographical limitations, considering that the majority of consumers and/or readers have free access to the Internet and mainly use social networks. Likewise, the digital media guides its editorial standards, respecting current laws regarding copyright and press rights. Within its editorial line, the Santiago newspaper presents a Diversity Policy, given that the medium believes in diversity as a way to enrich society.
